The Westleton Crown is recognised by the AA and The Good Pub Guide
26th October 2016
The Westleton Crown, hotel, restaurant and bar set on the Suffolk coast, have been recognised by The Good Pub Guide and the AA. The Westleton Crown’s wine list, for the first time, was awarded the AA Notable Wine List 2016 commendation and received the main entry in The Good Pub Guide 2017.
Each year, the AA Restaurant Guide shortlists just over 200 restaurants from thousands across the UK, whose wine lists offer excellent quality and choice. This year the judges were looking for lists that feature high quality wines and considered variety across countries, style, the best individual growers and vintages.
General Manager, Gareth Clarke, has said: “We are delighted that our wine list has been recognised by the AA, as a ‘Notable Wine list’. The Westleton Crown’s restaurant wine list features some 55 bins, including many served by the glass. We aim to give our customers options of wine that suits their dish but also enables them to choose a wine that perhaps is not typical of their usual everyday choice.”
The Good Pub Guide is Britain’s best loved pub guide that features top 5,000 places to eat and drink in the UK. Only pubs that have been inspected anonymously and approved by the editors are included in the guide. The Westleton Crown has received praise for an outstanding food, particularly enjoyable wines by the glass and a great place to stay from The Good Food Guide editors.
